Hey Everyone! I have some really exciting news to share! 4 months ago I traveled to Italy to cook and tour with a chef in Umbria, Baschi, and Tuscany. After spending a week with him, I told him he had to come to my home here in the states. And! That’s exactly what he did! In Feb he spent the weekend with my family and I, and then cooked for 55 guests at my home. Everyone ate his delicious food and learned about the tours he provides in his beautiful country! I’m so GRATEFUL to say, I was able to share my kitchen with Rachael Ray, but also with Chef Lorenzo Polegri! Ok People! It’s Feb 1st. And on March 1st, I’m going in for another round of Shed and Shred! It’s been 3 years since I lost some weight. I’ve been in maintenance understanding how to eat now. But I’m ready for another level. Niki will put me on a nutrition plan to coincide with the personal training plan that Devon will design for me. To see ANY change the nutrition has to be on point. Once the food is in place, the body composition changes for all the better. Leaner and stronger. And then it’s ON! 💪🏻 WHO’S IN WITH ME!? Don’t just say it. Do it! We finally have a pic of us all together. Many people ask…who do you train with or who do I go to to get my nutrition on point? This is the dynamic duo. Husband and wife…owners of @1cor619_fitness LLC. My whole life I worked out on and off. Never saw and never felt results. It was so frustrating and I felt like I would never reach a place that I felt and saw REAL results. At 46 years old, I committed myself to try 1 more time! Started taking core classes, amped it up to personal strength training, didn’t lose an ounce but felt stronger. Added a macro plan to my daily routine and bam, that was the recipe to success! Started seeing results that made me feel strong and confident. My body composition changed because of a 20 lb weight loss from a high protein diet and strength training. You don’t get “bigger” from lifting weights. Fat takes up more space than muscle. Muscle burns fat and calories throughout the day. I learned cardio is important but strength training is MORE important. Give or take a few lbs, I have kept that 20 lbs off the past 2 years. I eat what I want but I know how to eat to avoid gaining that 20 lbs back. The whole annoying process of losing and gaining has never happened. I know my body. What works and what doesn’t work. I was DONE with excuses. I was sick of complaining to myself. At 50 years old, I’ve come to the point where I’m done with excuses and complaining. If you want change, you have to change habits. Devon and Niki have taught me so much!! They don’t ask me to endorse them, I tell them “I’m endorsing you guys.” I would say “with nothing in return”. But they’ve given me a ton in return! Motivation, knowledge, determination and friendship. Thank you Devon and Niki! I pray for success for 2023 as you continue to change lives! I’m here to support because you’ve always supported me! When we were in Italy, we made biscotti’s with C

When we were in Italy, we made biscotti’s with Chef Lorenzo Polegri. But then I was also on the hunt to bring some home from a shop. Specifically orange biscotti’s. We finished those already so I made my own. The ones I brought home looked to have had orange zest in them. So I bought oranges and made candied orange zests. That’s the secret right there. That candied zest makes them so good. After the zests were finished, I minced them. I also marinated cranberries in a couple Tbls of Grand Marnier and followed this Cranberry Orange Biscotti recipe. It’s a process but worth it if you like biscotti’s. They’re so good dipped in coffee or tea. I did all the baking on 350 degrees as these cookies are temperamental while baking. Everyone uses different degrees.

Part 3: Hi Everyone! 👋🏻 I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you! 🎉. 2 weeks ago my husband and I hopped on a ✈️ and flew to Italy. 🇮🇹 It has been a goal of mine to go there and take a cooking class. Just one class. Instead, my husband surprised me and we spent 8 days with a renowned chef!! I took cooking classes and toured Umbria and Tuscany. Chef Lorenzo Polegri cooked for us and we wined and dined with others at his farm. It was INCREDIBLE! We toured wineries, breweries, farms, watched the olive oil process, went to the butcher, watched women hand paint gorgeous ceramics, made our own chocolates, cooked our dinners with the chef, and ate at restaurants with the locals. Ready to take things I’ve learned and incorporate them here at home! 🍝 #italy #travel #italianfood #tuscany #umbria
